East Change is an artist with a doctorate in aesthetics from Peking University. Chinese philosophical ideas about freedom, change and the relationship between people and their surroundings find expression in images, spaces and encounters.East Change 是艺术家、北京大学美学博士。中国哲学中关于自由、变化，以及人与环境关系的思考，在图像、空间与相遇中展开。
“The person is a work of art.”“人就是艺术作品。”
This idea places lived experience at the centre of art. The viewer brings memories, attention and presence; a work continues through that encounter.这一理念将人的生活经验放在艺术的中心。观者带来记忆、注意与在场，作品也在这场相遇中继续发生。
Three meanings of yi意、逸、易
- 意 · Art意承／艺术
- Intention and imagination. The catalogue recalls Huang Gongwang’s idea that a painting is, above all, meaning.从黄公望“画，不过意思而已”出发，关心作品中的心意与思想。
- 逸 · Aesthetics逸承／美学
- The freedom of the artistic spirit. Yi draws on the highest of Huang Xiufu’s four qualities: yi, shen, miao and neng.承接黄休复“逸、神、妙、能”四格中的逸格，追求精神的自由与超逸。
- 易 · Life易承／生活
- Life in continual creation and transformation. The Book of Changes describes yi through the ongoing generation of life.以《易经》“生生之谓易”为线索，在生活的变化中展开创作。
